Weber Marking Systems, Inc. has introduced its Alpha 86 Bottle Wrap system, which provides the application of pressure-sensitive labels to cylindrical containers like bottles, jars and cans. In-bound products are properly spaced along the system’s six-foot chain conveyor by employing an integrated metering wheel. Products travel down the line to a wipe-on label applicator that securely attaches the label, followed im­mediately by a wrap station that completes the label application. The system is capable of a maximum label dispense speed of up to 2400 inches of label web per minute, along with a label placement accuracy tolerant to 0.03”. Cylindrical products from one inch to six inches in diameter can be accommodated using the unit’s adjustable guide rails.
